Remember last year, Minister for the Environment ignored the Science Technical Advisory Group’s recommendation (the panel he set up) to set the bottom line for nitrate in rivers at 1 mg/L? Instead pressure from ag industry prevailed and he picked the politically acceptable 2.4mg.
